Trip Introduction

Langtang Valley Trek 11 days is a satisfying journey in Nepal that begins with by a drive to Syabrubesi the next day; we begin hikking from the lower region of the Langtang Valley through small villages, farmlands and verdant forests to Kyangjin Gompa. We also climb Tserko Ri for excellent sunrise views over the Langtang ranges.The region borders Tibet and was once an important trading route. We can still see the influence in the rich local culture. Additionally, the Langtang Valley Trek’s itinerary also takes us to the ‘Langtang Village’ which was heavily affected by the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in April 2015. Our exciting 11-day trip in Nepal comes to a conclusion in Kathmandu, where it had started.

Accommodation for this trip:

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides two kinds of accommodation during Langtang Valley Trek 11 days. At Kathmandu, we provide three star hotel rooms with breakfast twin sharing base. During the trek, we provide nice lodge or guest house room with common toilet and bath twin sharing base. If you need a Single room we will charge extra $175 (Kathmandu and trek) but high season not so easy to get single room on the way Langtang Region.

Food:

Langtang Valley Trek 11 days, Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides different kind of food like Nepali, Continental and Indian with one cup of tea and coffee. We provide welcome dinner Nepali cousin with Nepali culture dance and farewell dinner at K2 steak house (best steak in Kathmandu). Breakfast Kathmandu hotel provide a lot of items you can choose yourself and other guest house you can choose one items in the menu with cup of tea and coffee.

Physical Requirements:

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd, Langtang Valley Trek 11 days is moderate trek basically hikers have to hike per day 4 to 5 hours with daypack except some days are longer hour than 7 to 8. High altitude hike anyway need energy and experience,  that absolutely help for your altitude fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence and physically powerful determination, we can achieve the trek successfully. If Around month jogging regularly before this trip is a great idea to improve our power and performance. Past hiking experience would be a great advantage but no technical skill is required for this trip. Before booking this trip it is a great idea to consult with your doctor and if you have any disease better inform us.

Best Time to Travel:

We have two best seasons in the year like autumn and spring, Autumn best month is mid September to mid December and spring best month is mid February to May this two seasons are the best seasons for this trek because of the weather is fine and warm with perfect views but the nights are chilly and can drop to freezing level in higher altitude. Winter season is also good for Langtang Valley Trek the only problem is cold. Trekking in summer season will be affected by rain but the summer trek could. The trekking routes are not crowded like a spring and autumn.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1330m

Arrival at the Airport in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd. will take your hotel. Today the trek leader will check our equipment to make sure for one last time to get us ready for our adventure. This step will also ensure that if any equipment is found faulty we have the rest of the day to fix it or find equipment that works. After checking in the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (D)

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi 1470m 7-8 hours

Today after breakfast, we leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a town which is also the starting and ending spot for treks into the Langtang valley trek 11 days. Our drive will be on a winding road through common switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy dazzling views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our drive for today ends with a descent into the little beautiful village of Syabrubesi. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel 2500m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we begin our first day trek to Lama Hotel along the Langtang Khola from Syabrubesi. We climb and climb down all together through oak and rhododendron forests. After crossing a hanging bridge over the Langtang Khola, we climb on a steep trail which will lead us directly to the Lama Hotel. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 04: Trek to Langtang village 3307m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we continue uphill from Lama Hotel and enjoy the mountain scenery with plentiful waterfalls. As we get to the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela village (meanings of place “Horse Stable”), we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang Himalaya range. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing some temporary settlement used by herders. We pass a Buddhist monastery before getting the Langtang village which was affected by 2015 earthquake; the valley is now completely open for business. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 05:  Trek to Kyangjin Gompa 3870m 4-5 hours

Today after breakfast, we will begin our journey to Kyangjin Gompa, a main monastery of the Langtang region. We pass by water flour mills, prayer wheels, some chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions fixed on them.  We also pass by the biggest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with Om Mani Padme Hung prayers written on them. After the one of the beautiful short trek, we spend the rest of time after hot lunch exploring the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa(Monastery), visiting cheese factory and with the wonderful views of the mountains. Day 06: Acclimatization Day and Explore Tserko Ri 5000m 7-8 hours

Today after breakfast, we spend the full day climbing Tserko Ri 5000m which will also help us acclimatize to the high altitude normally no need this trek but for future trek. We begin early in the morning. The trail passes through beautiful Nak(female) and Yak(male) pastures before climbing uphill to Tserko Ri. The sunrise view from the top of Tserko Ri is astonishing like a Langtang Lirung 7246m, Kimshung 6781m, Ganjala Valley, and Langshisha Ri 6370m after Tserko Ri 5000m we get back to Kyangjin Gompa by same way. Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

Today after breakfast, we begin our journey retrace our steps to Lama Hotel. Most of the trail today will be descend as we pass through forests and attractive Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy different view of the Himalayas that we had lots of missed when we climbing up to Kyangjin Gompa. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 08: Trek to Syabrubesi: 4-5 hours

Today after breakfast, we start our last day trek retrace our steps back to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel. The trek will be easier as it will mostly downhill. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu

Today after breakfast, we drive back same road to Kathmandu. We spend the rest afternoon at hotel. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,)

Day 10: Kathmandu Full day sightseeing

Today after breakfast, we start a city guide tour to several of the most historical and religious attraction in Kathmandu. The sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is one of the largest stupas in the world.  With Eco Tourism Adventure will celebrate our successful trip in the Langtang Valley trek by providing a farewell dinner.
