Introduction

Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek 17 days is a attractive journey in Nepal through lush forests, charming villages, plentiful wildlife and astonishing views of the magnificent Himalayas. The trek begins in drive to Syabrubesi begin our trek. We reach Kyanjin Gompa and then climb Tserko Ri 5000m the next day. From there we get marvelous views of the Langtang Lirung 7200m and Lahgtang Himalaya range. Next, we continue trekking in the gorgeous Langtang Valley and reach Gosaikunda which is a respected place of pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. Furthermore, the place is named after the shiny Gosaikunda Lake whose water is whispered to have magical healing powers. We pass by a three more small lakes on our trek and cross the Laurebina Pass. Our journey in the Helambu Valley starts after crossing the pass. Another emphasize of our hike is to reach the top of Ama Yangri at 3800m. From here, Mt. Shishapangma and the Langtang ranges seem so close that we feel that we can approximately touch them. We continue trekking in the Helambu region for a few more days and end our extraordinary trip to the mountains with a drive to Kathmandu.

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides two kinds of accommodation during Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek 17 days. At Kathmandu, we provide three star hotel rooms with breakfast twin sharing base. During the trek, we provide nice lodge or guest house room with common toilet and bath twin sharing base. If you need a Single room we will charge extra $185 (Kathmandu and trek) but high season not so easy to get single room on the way Langtang Region and Helambu Region.

Food:

Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek 17 days, Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides different kind of food like Nepali, Continental and Indian with one cup of tea and coffee. We provide welcome dinner Nepali cousin with Nepali culture dance and farewell dinner at K2 steak house (best steak in Kathmandu). Breakfast Kathmandu hotel provide a lot of items you can choose yourself and other guest house you can choose one items in the menu with cup of tea and coffee.

Physical Requirements:

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd, Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek 17 days is moderate trek basically hikers have to hike per day 3 to 4 hours with daypack except some days are longer hour than 7 to 8. High altitude hike anyway need energy and experience, we have one day’s acclimatization day Kengjin Gompa that absolutely help for your altitude fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence and physically powerful determination, and we can achieve the trek successfully. If Around month jogging regularly before this trip is a great idea to improve our power and performance. Past glacier hiking experience would be a great advantage for some pass if snow and ice but no climbing technical skill is required for this trip. Before booking this trip it is a great idea to consult with your doctor and if you have any disease better inform us.

Best Time to Travel:

We have two best seasons in the year like autumn and spring, Autumn best month is mid September to mid December and spring best month is mid February to May this two seasons are the best seasons for this trek because of the weather is fine and warm with perfect views but the nights are chilly and can drop to freezing level in higher altitude. Winter season is also good for Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek the only problem is cold. Trekking in summer season will be affected by rain but the summer trek could. The trekking routes are not crowded like a spring and autumn.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1330m

Arrival at the Airport in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd. will take your hotel. Today the trek leader will check our equipment to make sure for one last time to get us ready for our adventure. This step will also ensure that if any equipment is found faulty we have the rest of the day to fix it or find equipment that works. After checking in the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (D)

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi 1470m 7-8 hours

Today after breakfast, we leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a town which is also the starting and ending spot for treks into the Langtang valley trek 11 days. Our drive will be on a winding road through common switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy dazzling views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our drive for today ends with a descent into the little beautiful village of Syabrubesi. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel 2500m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we begin our first day trek to Lama Hotel along the Langtang Khola from Syabrubesi. We climb and climb down all together through oak and rhododendron forests. After crossing a hanging bridge over the Langtang Khola, we climb on a steep trail which will lead us directly to the Lama Hotel. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 04: Trek to Langtang village 3307m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we continue uphill from Lama Hotel and enjoy the mountain scenery with plentiful waterfalls. As we get to the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela village (meanings of place “Horse Stable”), we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang Himalaya range. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing some temporary settlement used by herders. We pass a Buddhist monastery before getting the Langtang village which was affected by 2015 earthquake; the valley is now completely open for business. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa 3870m 4-5 hours

Today after breakfast, we will begin our journey to Kyangjin Gompa, a main monastery of the Langtang region. We pass by water flour mills, prayer wheels, some chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions fixed on them.  We also pass by the biggest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with Om Mani Padme Hung prayers written on them. After the one of the beautiful short trek, we spend the rest of time after hot lunch exploring the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa(Monastery), visiting cheese factory and with the wonderful views of the mountains. Day 06: Acclimatization Day and Explore Tserko Ri 5000m 7-8 hours

Today after breakfast, we spend the full day climbing Tserko Ri 5000m which will also help us acclimatize to the high altitude normally no need this trek but for future trek. We begin early in the morning. The trail passes through beautiful Nak(female) and Yak(male) pastures before climbing uphill to Tserko Ri. The sunrise view from the top of Tserko Ri is astonishing like a Langtang Lirung 7246m, Kimshung 6781m, Ganjala Valley, and Langshisha Ri 6370m after Tserko Ri 5000m we get back to Kyangjin Gompa by same way. Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

Today after breakfast, we begin our journey retrace our steps to Lama Hotel. Most of the trail today will be descend as we pass through forests and attractive Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy different view of the Himalayas that we had lots of missed when we climbing up to Kyangjin Gompa. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabru 2230m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we begin our trek with ascend to the Rimche Village. After getting Rimche Village, we descend to the banks of the Langtang Khola (Langtang stream) then we continue on an easy trail to Bamboo and begin ascending to Landslide Lodge (Pairo). From here another easy trail leads to Thulo Syabru. Thulo Sayabru is a gorgeous Sherpa and Tamang village from where you can enjoy the amazing view of Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal. Day 09: Trek to Shin Gompa 3250m 3-4 hours

Today after breakfast will be a short trek to Shin Gompa, today steady gain in altitude will help us acclimatize better to the high altitude.  Trek for a while we passing via a chorten and a checkpoint. From the checkpoint, we go to south and passing by Garta Village and Phulung Monastery before getting Shin Gompa. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 10: Trek to Gosaikunda 4460m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we get to enjoy unbelievable panoramic views of the Himalayas together with the Annapurnas, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himalaya range. We follow a ridge for the most part of the today and catch a sight of the first of the sacred lakes. The third lake, Gosaikunda Lake 4380m, is of particular spiritual and cultural meaning for the Nepalese and is one of Nepal’s most required following pilgrimage sites. The lake is bounded by mountains on approximately all sides and has a great group of nine other lakes to accompany it. In Nepal every year during Janai Purnima in August, more than thausends of Hindu pilgrims visit the lake for a holy bath. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 11: Trek to Ghopte 3440m 6-8 hours

Today after breakfast, we trek around the lake shore before ascending to the Laurebina Pass 4610m. The Helambu region begins from the Lauribina La (pass) and descends to the beautiful Melamchi valley. The trail is rough and crosses moraines, but is well noticeable with cairns. We pass through via three more small lakes before reaching the pass. We ascend a small hill and benefit from excellent views of the area. Our track passes through via Surya kunda before getting Ghopte. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 12: Trek to Melamchigaon 2560m6-7 hours

Today after breakfast, we will ascend and descend on a follow that passes through via dense forests. Trekking on a trail through the forest will take us to beautiful Thare Pati Village. We ascend a ridge above the Thare Pati village and continue our trek. The view from the ridge of the Nepalese hills and Soli Danda in particular is beautiful. We cross two suspension bridges before reaching Melamchigaon which is a gorgeous village that houses a monastery. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 13: Trek to Tarkeghyang 2590m 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast, we pass a stupa and cross a small stream below Tarkeghyang. Our trail passes through forests that lead up to Ama Yangri which is the highest point of our trek today located at 3800m. There is a stupa and Buddhist prayer flags at the top of the hill. Also, we get dramatic views of Mt. Shishapangma and the Langtang Himalaya ranges. As we descend we can often see yaks and naks grazing in the bushes before toward the inside a forest. We also walk on a trail made of broken stone before reaching Tarkeghyang which is a stunning Sherpa village. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 14: Trek to Sermathang 2610m 3-4 hours

Today after breakfast, we are do not gain altitude that much today; it's going to be comparatively easy walk today then previous day. We are passing on the way via forests, streams and waterfalls. Trail flows along the Parachin and the Sherpa village of Gangyul.  After Gangyul, we arrive at Sermathang village. After hot lunch we have plenty of time to explore to the village. There we can find a Buddhist monastery at the top of the village. Lodge Overnight. Included meal: (B,L,D)

Day 15: Trek to MalemchiPul Bazaar then Drive to Kathmandu 3-4 hrs trek 2 hours drive

Today after breakfast, our final day of the Helambu trek, we trek down to MalemchiPul Bazaar. The village is mostly populated by the Sherpa, but there are also people of other ethnic group like Tamang Helmu and more.  After getting the Melamchipull Bazaar, we drive back to Katmandu. After getting Kathmandu we can have the rest at hotel or whatever next as you like to do. Hotel Overnight. Day 16: Kathmandu Full day sightseeing

Today after breakfast, we start a city guide tour to several of the most historical and religious attraction in Kathmandu. The sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is one of the largest stupas in the world.  With Eco Tourism Adventure will celebrate our successful trip in the Langtang Valley trek by providing a farewell dinner.
