Introduction

Khopra Ridge Trek 13 Days, the Khopra Ridge is located away from the trails of Annapurna region but provides regularly amazing views of the Himalayas like a Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Himchuli and Nilgiri. Another perfect attraction of our trek is the beautiful holy Kaire Lake, which requires a little wandering away from the Kopra Ridge. We begin our trip in from Kathmandu with bus drive Pokhara. Next day, drive to Syauli bazaar and begin trekking from there. We leave the Gorepani or ABC main trail after Tadapani and for the next few days walk along a remote trail while staying at the community tea houses or home stay. The thirteen days trek is appropriate for those who wish to have the magnificence of Mt. Annapurna while also taking enjoyment in the comfort of a more remote trail. Absolute with exclusive heritage, culture and spectacular landscape, the trip will be well worth our valuable time.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1330m
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara, 900m.
Day 03: Drive to Syauli Bazaar and trek to Ghandruk, 2 hours drive and 3 -4 hours trek.
Day 04: Trek to Tadapani 2600m 3-4 hours
Day 05: Trek to Dobato 3350m 4-5 hours
Day 06: Trek to Upper Chistibung 2975m 4-5 hours
Day 07: Trek to Khopra Ridge 3660m 3-4 hours
Day 08: Rest day in Khopra Ridge: day hike to Kaire Lake 4500m 9-10 hours

Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides two kinds of accommodation during Khopra Ridge Trek 13 Days. At Kathmandu, we provide three star hotel rooms with breakfast twin sharing base. During the trek, we provide nice lodge or guest house room with common toilet and bath twin sharing base. If you need a Single room we will charge extra $185 (Kathmandu, Pokhara and trek) but high season not so easy to get single room on the way this Trek.

Food:

Khopra Ridge Trek 13 Days, Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides different kind of food like Nepali, Continental and Indian with one cup of tea and coffee. We provide welcome dinner Nepali cousin with Nepali culture dance and farewell dinner at K2 steak house (best steak in Kathmandu). Breakfast Kathmandu hotel provide a lot of items you can choose yourself and other guest house you can choose one items in the menu with cup of tea and coffee.

Physical Requirements:

Khopra Ridge Trek 13 Days is moderate trek basically hikers have to hike per day 3 to 4 hours with daypack except some days are longer hour than 9 to 10. High altitude hike anyway need energy and experience, for your altitude fitness, have a positive attitude, self-confidence and physically powerful determination, and we can achieve the trek successfully. If Around half month of jogging regularly before this trip is a great idea to improve our power and performance. Past hiking experience would be a great advantage but no technical skill is required for this trip but if you already been for glacier hike that great help for this trip if wants do this trek winter. Before booking this trip it is a great idea to consult with your doctor and if you have any disease better inform us. 

Best Time to Travel:

We have two best seasons in the year like autumn and spring, Autumn best month is mid September to mid December and spring best month is mid February to May this two seasons are the best seasons for this trek because of the weather is fine and warm with perfect views but the nights are chilly and can drop to freezing level in higher altitude. Winter season is also good for Khopra Ridge Trek the only problem is cold and lot of snow at Khopra Ridge and Khair Lake. Trekking in summer season will be affected by rain and leach but the summer and winter, trek the trekking routes are not crowded like a spring and autumn.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1300m

Arrival at the Airport in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Eco Tourism Adventure Pvt. Ltd. will take your hotel. Today the trek leader will check our equipment to make sure for one last time to get us ready for our adventure. This step will also ensure that if any equipment is found faulty we have the rest of the day to fix it or find equipment that works. After checking in the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine. Hotel Overnight. Included meal: (D)

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara 900m. 6-7 Hours

Today after breakfast drive around 6 to 7 hours by bus to Beautiful city with Lake Pokhara, after getting Pokhara look around lakeside where we are staying. Hotel Overnight. Included meals: (B)

 

Day 03: Drive to Syauli Bazaar and trek to Ghandruk, 2 hours drive and 3 - 4 hours trek

Today we drive to Syauli Bazaar and start the trek to Ghandruk. The village of Gurung ethnic groups of Nepal, can be second largest village in Nepal, have their own language, typical culture, nice costume, and Gorkha army life style. This village is the popular tourist destination even for local tourist (from ktm or pokhara) there offers the outstanding views of Annapurna South Himchuli and Machhapuchhre. Lodge Overnight. Day 04: Trek to Tadapani 2600m 4-5 hours

Today our day starts with uphill from Gandruk, we climb uphill through Rhododendron forest the trail via Bhaisi Kharka to get to Tadapani , the village lays in the middle beautiful Rhododendron forest with around six guest house, their offers the outstanding views of Annapurna South Himchuli and Machhapuchhre and more, Lodge Overnight. Day 05: Tadapani to Dobato 3350m 4-5 hours

Today from Tadapani we leave the main trail of Gorepani or ABC trek and for the next few days we will walk in a more remote area of the Annapurna region. On our trek today we get to appreciate the various flora and fauna of the area and obviously the outstanding view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. Trekking in a pretty easy track we get to Dobato which is conquered by the excellent view of the Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. Lodge Overnight. Included meals: (B,L,D)

Day 06: Trek to Upper Chistibung 2975m 4-5 hours

Today, we descend through open land and beautiful jungle to reach the Lower Chistibung. After we climb uphill genteelly through a jungle before getting Upper Chistibung which is a short-term (temporary) settlement. If we are lucky, we can see spot the multi-colored Lophophorus (Danphe national bird of Nepal), as well as Himalayan thar (blue sheep) on the green ridge high above the track. Lodge Overnight. Day 07: Trek to Khopra Ridge 3660m 3-4 hours

Today we climb above the tree line through alpine meadows and pastures to reach Khopra. As we come close to Khopra Ridge, we can see the tip of Annapurna South. Upon getting Khopra we can go for a short hike down Khopra Ridge to a viewpoint overlooking Kali Gandaki river far underneath in this deep gorge. From Khopra we also admire the spectacular mountain panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri Hiuchuli and Annapurna South. Lodge Overnight. Included meals: (B,L,D)

Day 08: Rest day in Khopra Ridge: Day hike Kaire Lake 4500m 9-10 hours

Today we begin hike early in the morning to the Kaire Lake from where we achieve outstanding views of the peak and surrounding mountains. Careful to be a sacred lake by the Hindus, it is believed that bathing in the lake will help to achieve Nirvana. As Hinduism and Buddhism are intricately related in Nepal, we can even see a lot’s of Hindu and Buddhist shrines on the lakeside. Optional, who do not want to hike all the way to the Khair lake, they can half day hike from Khopra then back to have hot lunch at khopra others definitely need lunch packet. Lodge Overnight. Day 09: Trek to Swanta Village 2200m 5-6 hours

Today from Khopra Ridge we steep descend of the hillside and continue downhill on a steep trail. all along the way we can see more views of Mount Dhaulagiri with the mountain providing a lovely background to the terraced fields and typical houses in the close to Swanta villages. Lodge Overnight. Included meals: (B,L,D)

Day 10: Trek to Ulleri 2050 m5-6 hours

Today from Swanta we descend through the village fields to a small river and take a quick look at the local water flower mill then  we cross the suspension bridge and head to the village of Chittre, where we will connect the main trekking trail of Annapurna circuit way to Gorepani . After getting Ghorepani we will descend through rhododendron jungle to Ulleri. Lodge Overnight. Included meals: (B,L,D)

Day 11: Drive to Pokhara 2 hours

Today we drive to Pokhara via Nayapul around two hours then we check-in to our hotel in Pokhara then continue touring the city of Lake Pokhara Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and the International Mountain Museum; we can also do some boating in Phewa Lake, the biggest lake in Pokhara. Day 12:  Fly to Kathmandu then half day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Today we take morning flight to Kathmandu then city sightseeing of Kathmandu valley with city guide (Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath stupa). Hotel Overnight. Included meals: (D)
